Happy New Year From Mrs. O!

I hope you are enjoying the holiday season as much as I am. Yes, it’s busy, hectic and a little crazy, but it comes only once a year. I still think that people are just happy this time of year and do have a special spirit that comes out of even those who are…well, let’s say ‘cranky’. With all the visiting, favorite holiday food, baking, wonderful store displays, merry colors, holiday clothes and gift-giving that takes place, it really is the most wonderful time of the year.

As 2009 comes to a close, I’m taking the time to think about how blessed I am before I decide what I want to work on in 2010. I am so thankful that I am healthy, that I have a wonderful family and amazing friends that are all very dear to me. I am thankful for the passion and drive within me and that I get to do something that I love – everyday. I’m thankful that my parents taught me the importance of the golden rule and I am happy that I passed this on to my children. We’re not always perfect, but I know that we live by this rule and it makes me proud.

So, what are Mrs. O’s New Year’s Resolutions? Stay tuned. I will tell you next week!

Happy New Year to all. I hope you will count your blessings and take some time for yourself over this long weekend. When you make your New Year’s resolutions, remember to set reachable goals. Whether you vow to lose some weight or get organized, I wish you much success!

Happy Organizing!

-Mrs. O

On the 24th Day of the Holidays

On the 24th day of the Holidays we bring to you…

Today is Christmas Eve and I’m sure you are busy preparing for company to arrive, last minute gifts to be delivered and your final Christmas day checklist to be completed. With all those things on your mind it is easy to forget New Years Eve is right around the corner. Be sure you set some time aside today or tomorrow to confirm your plans for ringing in the New Year.

The Bejeweled Cocktail Shaker is sure to be the the life of your New Years party. Sparkling rhinestones cover the top and run along the base of this very chic and functional cocktail shaker. We bought 2 of these for our New Years party this year and I just can’t wait to see them in action. Cosmos, friends, family and the prospects of a bright New Year; what else could a girl ask for?

Happy Cocktail Shaking!

On the 23rd Day of the Holidays

On the 23rd day of the Holidays we bring to you…

I have always loved big and bright Holidays. This year is no different. My very favorite part of Christmas is giving presents. No…really! I LOVE the pleasure of giving gifts and the feeling I get inside when someone opens the box, calls on the phone, drops a note or even a text message to say…I love it, thank you, it’s SOOO cute, OMG or I totally wanted this! Is there anything better?

I also love to say thank you and I have a huge collection of thank you notes at home and in the office. I get them as gifts or pick up unusual ones along the way. There are endless ways of saying “thank you”, and we’ve found 67 ways to do so. Whether it’s at home or at work Great job!, Nice Work!, Way to Go!, You’re The Best!, Sensational!, don’t forget to acknowledge that someone special. Remember, it doesn’t take a box to say thank you.

Some of my favorite thank you notes are the Thanking Out Of The Box Notes.

One of our favorite vendors actually made me my very own Mrs. Organized thank you notes; with custom made striped grosgrain ribbon and all.

Today is our last day in the office. Before I leave…

Merrry Christmas to you and yours. May it be everything you want it to be!

Love,

-Mrs. O

On the 22nd Day of the Holidays

On the 22nd day of the Holidays we bring to you…

Growing up in Lewiston, Syracuse there was never a shortage of snow during the winter time. Now living in Southern California it is easy to forget about those beautiful white winters of the East Coast.  Although I don’t miss shoveling snow off the driveway or scraping ice off my windshield, I still love the idea of a “white” Christmas.  One of the items I added to my wish list this year was the Small Can of Snow from K&K Interiors.  Thanks to an early stop by Santa I was able to re-create my own winter wonderland on one of my bookshelves in my living room.  I just love it and the best part is… this snow won’t melt and I can reuse it next year.

Everyone loves to hear those famous jingle bells ringing as Santa and his Reindeer make their Christmas Eve rounds.  With the Jingle Bells In a Can you can bring that wonderful sound into your home all season long.  I scattered these all over the island in the middle of my kitchen this year and mixed in some candles and pine branches to create a warm Holiday feel.

Happy Holiday Decorating!

Who says being prepared with household tools is just for the boys?  Whether you’re living on your own in an upscale New York apartment or sharing a room in a fabulous Hollywood villa you will need certain items for cleaning and even performing minor maintenance.  Some of these items may consist of a vacuum, mop, various surface cleaners, toilet brush, dust rags, screwdrivers, hammer, pliers, and wrenches.  Take a look around and see what you need to add to your place to help keep it neat and tidy.

The Hip Houswares collection by Alice Supply Co. is the perfect way to keep your place clean, maintained, and most importantly, in style.  This ultra chic collection consists of a dust brush, dust pan, plunger, toolbox and garden hose.

Happy Hip Housewares!

On the 18th Day of the Holidays we bring to you…

A must remember for the Holiday gift receiving season is a pad of paper and a pencil or pen to write down all those amazing and thoughtful gifts you receive from friends, family, and co-workers.  It can be especially tough to remember what came from who when the wrapping paper is flying and the, the Christmas music is blaring, and the mimosas are flowing.  It only takes a few seconds to write down each gift as you receive them, you will save yourself a lot of confusion later and everyone will appreciate receiving your notes of thanks.

The Swarovski Crystal Pencils are perfect for the woman that appreciates the finer things in life. Sufficiently blingy in all the right ways, these amazing pencils are made from wood and are studded with a colorful Swarovski crystal.  They are perfect for writing down all those great Holiday gifts.

Happy Thank You Writing!
